The woes of updating an old house...I have paint caked under my nails, I chipped a nail, theirs paint in my hair and my toe nails are chipped...but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. My husband and I found the perfect house for our family, but there are some things standing in our way...our house and a pending sale on the house of our dreams. It’s not the end of the world if we don’t get this house, but I really want this particular house. I can see us living there, I can literally feel it, like it’s meant to be...it’s just not ours YET. I pray we get this home and that it’s truly His plan for us. I know this is hardly worthy, in light of all the suffering in the world, but I’ve asked for the Lords blessing and I know he will deliver. #oldhouses #renovationproject

Every life has a beginning and an end. However, when someone we love a great deal reaches the end of their life, we may have a very hard time accepting their sudden, final absence. Our grief may be so powerful that we fear it will completely overwhelm us - but it will not. Our sorrow may hurt more than anything we can remember, but it will pass.
We need not run from the emotions that may arise from the death of a loved one. Death and grieving are parts of the fullness of living "life on life's terms." By allowing ourselves the freedom to experience these feelings, we partake more deeply of both our recovery and our human nature.
Sometimes the reality of another's death makes our own mortality that much more pronounced. We reevaluate our priorities, appreciating the loved ones still with us all the more. Our life, and our life with them, will not go on forever. We want to make the most of what's most important while it lasts.
We might find that the death of someone we love helps strengthen our conscious contact with our Higher Power. If we remember that we can always turn to that source of strength when we are troubled, we will be able to stay focused on it no matter what may be going on around us.

As my English birthday and Hebrew birthday fall back to back, I want to Thank you ALL for the birthday wishes, may you all see double the wishes you give me.
Special thanks to @banan_uh and @sarabemet

When someone we love is having difficulty and is giving us a bad time, it’s better to explore the cause than to criticize the action.

Helping others is my job now that I am present and concious because of the process of the Steps.
I try to determine what is going on with them rather than reacting to their behavior. If I react I am adding to their stress. If I explore and extend love and understanding then I will be able to be of service and get out of myself. I cannot help another without helping myself. I cannot hurt another without hurting myself.

Good Morning, Champions 💪🏽
God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
