You guys... he PULLED MY PANTS DOWN WHILE TRYING TO CRAWL UP MY LEG.
I'm basically convinced he's trying to crawl back inside me. But I have to tell him, "honey... you actually didn't come out that way. And they sewed up your exit hole back at the hospital." He doesn't seem to get it.
When he pantsed me he discovered the drawstring on my pants and decided that was the best new chew toy EVER. So at least that distracted him for a bit.
Separation anxiety works both ways, as I've said. Just when I find myself about to split open at the seams from this phase he decides he wants to play by himself. And I find myself craving those chubby fingers that always seem to reach directly for my hair, tugging and pulling it out. The cheeks that feel like dense clouds. Those lips that are always shiny with drool.
It works both ways, my baby. I need you also.
But maybe don't pull down Mommy's pants anymore... okay?
What's the craziest thing your baby has done while in the throes of separation anxiety?
