2017. What to say?
I visited the motherland, moved to Toronto, was cast in my first movie, made new friends, went back to school, got some of the best grades of my life, conquered ProTools (take that!!), got hate mail for the first time, got cast in my first play, then cast in a few more (2018!!), went to my first Pride parade, was hired to sing at Seneca College, had my first commercial audition and my first one in New York, dropped out of school, struggled with depression on a level I had never experienced to date, cried a lot, laughed a lot, raged at the machine, wrote some things and was reminded of how freaking amazing the people in my life are (I get that there's no me without y'all!! 🙏❤) It wasn't always pretty, sometimes it was downright ugly but SO much good came out of it. And I am downright thankful for all of it. Even the tough moments. I've learned and grown and I am a better human being for it.
Here's to new heights in a new year. I can guarantee it won't be perfect, but in it's imperfection there will be good.
