In our society, we are rarely surrounded by accountability, so ditching our goals doesn’t seem like a big deal. However, I know from my own personal experience, if I REALLY want something, I’ll find a way. If I don’t, I’ll find an excuse. Make your health something you REALLY want! This totally applies to the goas we set for ourselves! Whatever standard you set for yourself, you’ll end up, UNLESS you fight your instinct and change your pattern. This is the HARD part! It’s the part that’s uncomfortable, but it’s the part that will get you closer to your goals, and raise the bar of your “lowest level of training” so you can go further the next time! By building on past success, making the right choices will become your instinct, and you won’t be tempted by an excuse. Start with small steps, and don’t break the “little promises” to yourself. Why did I start The Persistence Factor Podcast? For 4 reasons.
.
1. I kept listening to podcasts and I always thought, I would love to have my own podcast BUT I can NEVER do that. You are just a meat head.
.
Do you ever hear that voice too saying, who do you think you are? Nobody will listen to you! Stick to your own lane. Nobody cares what you have to say. .
It just perpetuates into more limited thinking. What if I screw up? What if I make a mistake? Before you know it you have talked yourself right out of doing what feels right. You sweep it under the carpet with everything else you said you would like to do. .
But that all changed. When one day in a lecture by @joe_arko, I watched how he would lead and inspire by example. He had MASSIVE follow through regardless of fear. I was moved. .
2. I have always been inspired by the chapter Persistence in the book Think and Grow Rich. I can personally relate to the stories in this chapter because of the pain and suffering that they encounter in their journey.

3. I wanted to start my podcast 3 years ago and kept putting it off. Thinking it was never the right time. The negative self talk kicked in yet again. I lacked self confidence and self worth. I then promised myself that I would finally do it. #selfpromise

4. The movie, The Pursuit of  Happyiness. @ceoofhappyness story. My personal favourite movie of all time. Chris Gardner is what I define as the Persistence Factor. You can not watch that movie without being inspired. It just lifts you up and makes you want to do something big with your life.

Bottom line.

I want the show to be a hub of inspiration, a go to resource to reignite your passions and purpose, so you can pick yourself up in the face of adversity and keep pushing towards your goals. To never allow that voice in your head to win the battle. To block out all negative influences and keep going. To embrace struggle and know its a good thing. Without the struggle they would not of developed the mental toughness and self discipline needed to get them to their final destination.

J’ai étudié le français au cinq ans. Aujourd’hui, je ne pas le...... Shit. Basically, I studied French for 5 years. Today, I can barely remember anything. Wk 2 - Expansion Yoga Retreat - Day 4: Flow ~ After another one of those days, it was getting late but I said there was no way I was breaking that exercise date with myself. It would have been really easy to come up with an excuse (too tired, touch of heartburn, it’s getting late...etc) but not now, not this time we have a deal & I’m not going to the one who gave in. So at 2130ish hrs there I was, doing today’s class “Flow”. Love this program, it offers so much variety & access is great 🙏🏻
