Your Precious Time: Are You Wasting It?
Have you ever stopped to question the things in life that you put your energy into that actually serve you? How much of what you do is actually things that you enjoy? Things that benefit you?
Are there times that you wish you were spending more time with your friends, family or kids?
Do you wish that you had more time for you? Do you wish that you had more time to put effort and intention into things that are going to improve the quality of your life?
I used to sit and wish that I had more time because more time means: - Being a better mum
- Having a better mind
- The ability to improve my health
- Having the opportunity to do the things you want to
As women especially, we get so caught up on all of the ‘have to’s’ and we leave out the ‘want to’s’. But really, you have to turn your want to’s into have to’s. If you want to live your best life and make the most of what lays before you, then you have to start doing the things that matter.
We spend our life answering to other people and other commitments, work, committees, obligations, friends… I know some people have so much on that they are just constantly in hustle mode and are making themselves stressed and sick… does this sound like you?
If so, it is time to do a self-audit…. And this is sooo easy.
Here is what you need to do:
1. Grab a piece of paper and write and create 2 columns
2. Title the commons ‘Serves Me’ and ‘Does Not Serve Me’
3. Get to work writing down everything on your list and have to’s, everything that you do each week into the column that it needs to go
The key to this is being honest!
If you have more things that you fill your precious time with every week, every day that do not serve you… You are wasting your week and it is time to change.
