We all know that some things are “fact” and some are “belief”, but are there thoughts you have that you *assume* are fact?⠀

A HUGE way to love yourself - your essential being, the core of you that is interconnected with the whole - is to know the freedom and truth of who you are and who you are not.⠀
⠀⠀⠀
The beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world are mostly distorted to say the least!⠀
⠀⠀⠀
If you’d like to take a look and find more freedom in yourself, try these journal questions with curiosity and compassion. Look closely and in the nuances and subtleties of your experience and let yourself be surprised by what reveals itself.⠀

❤ When have you had reactions to people and thought, it should or has to be *this way* or *they should...*?⠀

❤ What was your last triggering moment, a moment you had a reaction to something that bothered you?⠀

❤ In these situations, what fears or belief sets underlie the situation?⠀

❤ Explore your fears and open to detecting an underlying web of belief sets that stem from this or support this.⠀

I am Enough
I have Enough
I do Enough

Every damn day. I have this note on my desk so I can keep my boundaries strong. What am I boundarying? A lifelong habit of over-striving and feeling a deficit in myself when there was no deficit at all.
A tendency to “spend twenty more minutes” on a piece of work - that then becomes twenty more and twenty more into hours and hours of delaying and postponing rest, movement, pleasure, connection to all the other good things which aren’t work (and I LOVE my work and it’s a very good thing, but it’s not the ONLY good thing).
A tendency to give as though giving were going out of fashion... to meet every request fully, immediately....
I have got much much better at this as time goes in.
I hold myself to account for it lovingly - hence the note at the lamp
I still have to be aware. That is the cornerstone of recovery hey? Always staying vigilant for tendencies and ingrained habits.
I keep the arrow of my awareness firmly pointed in the direction of all that is valuable and sacred to me.
When I slip up, I notice the feedback in my body (the hurt, the cry of “why did you do that to me?”) and I take that as a positive affirmation that the path I have temporarily veered from is absolutely the right path.

When we are looking for something to shift or end in us or in our lives, we often want to reject it or push it. Especially if it is uncomfortable or part of our suffering.⠀

Our pushing it, the force, only creates resistance and gives it even more power. It may even deepen the relationship to this thing or push it to repeat.⠀

It’s time to let things truly be released. To find a deep freedom in the process.⠀

🌞 Non-Resistance and Appreciation⠀

To allow an organic and loving process, let yourself HONOR the things you are releasing, for they have served you at some point.⠀
⠀⠀⠀
❤ Honor what this was to you, whether it was an emotion you’ve held for a long time, a dynamic or habit, the clutter or sentimental objects you’ve been attached to, an action on repeat, or other relationship to a person, place or thing.⠀
⠀⠀⠀
❤ Lean into the feelings and sensations of what comes with seeing this part you are ready to release clearly. If it requires anger or force to be honored, feel into this and allow it (candicewu.com/anger).⠀

There is a direct correlation between your willingness to love your body and the vibrancy of your health. .

Today why not show your body a whole lotta love and gratitude by acknowledging everything working well in your body AND all the wonderful ways it supports you each day.

You could do this through a beautiful love note to your body or just by taking a moment to close your eyes and send love to your cells and all parts of your body. .

Healing is everything; we out here unlearning b.s. and healing old shit that ain’t relevant anymore. I’ve been teaching my ego what it does and doesn’t need to protect me from a lot the past month. At times, this child-self can feel far or even lost, but play and fun is the quickest route I’ve found to bringing that safe, loved self back into the forefront of life—so build play into your daily routine. Play can be as simple as cracking jokes and being randomly jubilant; or it might take effort to go have fun and that’s okay too: just do it, every 🌲 damn 🌻 day 🌺.
