For so long I believed that the amount of weight I lost was tied to how I felt about myself. But after I lost all the weight, I still thought negatively about my body. No matter what I did, those negative thoughts never went away. .
It wasn’t until I started looked deep into my own eyes and telling myself that I am worthy and beautiful did I start to improve my body image. Feeling better about myself came ALL from within, and the true belief that I am worthy, that I am beautiful - no matter what my size. .
Nothing we do superficially will heal our self-belief system. Only once we have accepted our bodies as they are can we begin to love ourselves and act from a place of compassion and respect. We need to fully acknowledge that losing weight does not cure negative body image. .
The sooner we can acknowledge and accept that, the sooner we can heal our broken relationships with our bodies and develop a stronger and more positive self-image. 💕
