The pace has slowed down remarkably here at our farm and I will admit, it's been amazing. After the whirlwind of Summer, it's always nice to step back, take a deep breath and relax a little. Now that we have had some time to think, we've been able to reflect on this past year and talk about what worked & what didn't, where we want to go, what we want to expand on and maybe even what we want to cut out. It's been refreshing and very much needed. While the grain farm will look very similar next year, the Flower Farm is ramping up production as I move the homegrown vegetables to a new plot so that the existing three gardens will now be in full time Flower production. And that's not even for the dahlias! In 2018 I will be turning 1/4 acre of our yard into the dahlia field that will overlook one of our wheatfields and I cannot tell you how excited I am for this! So yes while winter currently has its hold on the farm, there's something beautiful coming just around the corner..just you wait ✨ image by my dear friend @simplyrosiephotography I can't wait to have you back here next year girl!!
