Another half term albeit a short one over. Kam's sports day is on Friday morning - work that out! & It doesn't seem
2 minutes since last year.
I've been trying to write for ages, but have fallen asleep & I then don't remember what I was going to write about - which was the entire point of instagram & Kam & I - so I'm going to write about gran & her sister instead.
Mom & Auntie, both stubborn, independent & of a family of characters. Since January I've spent a lot of time with/at my auntie/'s to sort her some home help & to make sure she's doing what she should.
She was in hospital in January, luckily she recovered, she'd had shingles & uti infections & was at a turning point as it had knocked her confidence & general health. She was frail & vulnerable. However, she wanted to go home & packed her bags every day & told them & me all sorts of reasons as to why she had to go home. 😂😑 I must have seemed like her worst nightmare (each time I saw her she tried to batter me with her walking stick 😑😂) as I wouldn't sign to discharge her from hospital until suitable support was in place. Luckily the social care team agreed with me.
Now, 4 months later she's an all together different person, not 100%, but a sharp 95%. She's been desaparte to come to grans, so instead of her hopping on the train I fetched her. She wanted to see Kam & fetch him from school.
When I arrived at her house she had packed her case! How long are you staying for? .....!Not long ..... oh,ok with me thinking what on earth is my mum going to say, (who in her own right isnt very well). My auntie said well you never know when you need your case! I laughed & said good for you, I like your style. Needless to say, I left the case in the car when we reached mom's house. I only told her the story this week & said I didn't tell her on the day as I wondered how she would take it & it might have tipped her over the edge. We laughed.
I drove my auntie back (2 hours cuz of city traffic & I had to cross the city) then I had to find fish & chips. The aren't many fish & chip shops near her, but I found one (eventually in the torrential rain).
