Our grommies have consistently been leading beach clean ups every weekend and yesterday they were looking extra cool in their new SEA Patrol uniform! Same as the week before, we started from Greenhouse beach, walked by the bay towards Akra Hayahay and swept the street going back to Greenhouse.
To teach the kids how to segregate, one group collected just PET bottles, another group just glass bottles and the rest, soft plastics, rubber, styrofoam. These recyclables are left in the Greenhouse segregation area and will be collected by the LPS junk shop staff.
Every beach clean up session, we educate the kids why we are doing the clean up and try to form them to becoming the eco-leaders through values formation. Uniforms are given to those who have the highest beach clean up attendance and extra prizes go to those who demonstrate good leadership.
Everyone is welcome to join our Saturday clean up drive and buddy up with the SEA Patrol groms! Pls stay tuned for announcement of venue and time 💚
