I’ve been so inspired by sashiko and kantha embroidery/quilting methods recently. The traditions are so beautiful :) This morning I hand pieced lots of old scraps; I’m going to attempt to quilt them and sew them into a pillow.
Happy afternoon in the sunshine #scrapbusting 😁 I'm taking time out this weekend to #englishpaperpiece all of these pretty little hexagons into something beautiful for my workspace. I love making things for others but can't remember the last time I made something for myself!! All you need is imagination, a piece of paper, a needle and some thread which is what I adore about this process. It's so therapeutic!! Hope you have a fabulous weekend. 🌸 #scrapquilt#sewsewsew
12 hours of piecing done! 74/100 blocks done! Each block is 2.5” square unfinished, the final size will be 20” square. I am very, very grateful for the accuracy of paper piecing right now. Also, it’s probably insane to hand quilt this but that’s what I’m leaning towards.
