The goal isn't to have the perfect body. Stop striving for the ideal body defined by society. YOU define what beautiful is for YOU. Your are beautiful just the way you are. Period. Or do we need to define ourself as beautiful all the time? Can't we just be. We have a body. What can my body do for me? I want to create poses with my body. I am what I am. I look the way I look. Of course it's okay to have body goals, to find motivation in others. But we need to stop compare. Some like big muscles, some just wants to be healthy, some wants to get in shape after having a baby. That's all okay too. Either way we should spend less time judging each other and ourselves, and spend more time accepting ourself as we are. We all need to just accept that we can't look the same. My goal is to fall in love with everything that I am. Being thankful for all that I am. For what I have. What my body can do. Not what it looks like. 🙏🤘

Feeling so relieved entering into day 21 of #ayearofyoga2018 with #vrischikasana | #scorpionhandstand
It’s not a pose I have mastered by all means. I’m still working on holding my regular #handstands but it’s one that I enjoy and can pull off with the help of the wall and most of all one where I can see immense progress compared to last year (swipe right ➡️). I didn’t even think there’d be much progress until I put them both next to each other 😳Charlie also just reminded me of how scared I was getting into it last year.
Now, there’s no fear and most of all no complete exhaustion getting in and coming out of it. Happy yogi over here ☺️💜.

No progress in my backbend, but my back muscles are much more stronger, my alignment is much better and I could hold this for about 15 seconds without #PaulTheWall 😁😁 •

Ok, I was really avoiding the scorpion - it’s a backbend and an inversion combined🙈 Sounded like the worst idea ever🤷‍♀️
.
So thank you Carmen @cyogalab for this one🙏 Forcing me to finally overcome my fears😅
.
I knew it’s not that hard as I thought, because I’ve heard from many people, that it’s actually easy to balance in comparison with the straight legged version of any inversion🙌
.
One thing I learned last year, was to use my couch instead of a wall for the forearm stand, and an easy way of how to get into it: pressing my palms together with fingers interlaced and using my forehead as a break, and then pressing up (the hard part) to balancing only on my hands✨ And I train this often enough that I feel quite comfortable doing it♥️
.
Plus, I managed to engage my upper back muscles at the end of the backbend - it’s even slightly visible on this video, and I know I was not able to use them a year ago, I didn’t even know I had muscles there🤦‍♀️
.
Let’s see if I will be able to do this on my palms next year (lol I don’t think so, but you never know)😅
