We were taught in school that #Science and #Art don’t match! They’re two different fields that can’t be amalgamated. But the more I science, the more I realize how both domains are interdisciplinary, and how science and research are so much better when looked at through multiple angles and perspectives, the same way we look at paintings.
When doing research, you'll definitely fall into gloomy phases strong enough to make you suspect the results you're having and even sometimes doubt yourself and the outcome!
When painting, if the drawing doesn't make sense anymore, you should stop a bit, take a couple of steps back, look at the canvas from a distance and check for missing details. Those tiny elements you must add to bring your canvas to life!
Likely in science, when the answers given are no longer lucid and satisfying, it is time to take a break, collect all the micro-results you've been having, assemble them into figures, analyze the data and process it into insightful information. Only then, you will be able to see the flaws, come up with new experiments to finalize the details and finally complement the story and the vision behind your work.
