Bright apples against autumn blues. The swiss painter Carl Schuch chose the objects for his still lifes mainly by the potential of their colours. Here he painted a series of apples on a white cloth, which lets the fruits appear brighter. So don’t hesitate to come over and spend some time at the Städel Museum for warm, colouring autumn thoughts and start dreaming of roasted apples.
