Whether you are looking to slim down or bulk up you need it! And you most likely need to increase your current intake to obtain your fitness goals (I'll get into amounts on another post 😉). If your main goal is to slim down and build lean muscle you need to aim for lower calorie protien options, lean meats like fish, chicken and eggs should do the trick, there are also tons of low cal/carb vegan protein supplements; do not rely on protein balls.
Popping protein balls is not the best way to increase your protein at all and although they taste great they can be little calories bombs. They are often held together with honey or other high sugar dried fruits making their calorie to protein ratio less than impressive. So think of these so called protein balls as energy balls, not protein supplements and consume them in moderation!💪 😊 💪
