Early this week I found myself in my happy place on a 3 acre farm @cyclopsfarms' Water Bill Dinner (thanks to @carolynkates1 & @michelleciccarelli). This little farm was a true inspiration of possibilities, leaving me excited for my own project ventures & reminding me to be courageous by consistently stepping out of my comfort zone. 'We’ve come to see stress as a dirty word — and for good reason — but a little bit of healthy stress can actually act as a catalyst for growth and provide a powerful motivation to act.' Happy Hump Day! 👍🥑 #farmtotable#cyclops

For whatever reason, we found ourselves with a tad too much pumpkin pie filling to fit into the crust. Poured into ramekins, baked in a hot water bath at 350 for 40 minutes, and voila! Extra pie. That's gonna go nicely with the brandy dessert sauce we did. #nomnom#savethefood#fearlrsscooking#thanksgivingftw

reusables // hey kids! man, has this week (or month!) been a hectic one. 🙇🏻♀️ which means I have been stress eating more than usual (and only kind of mad about it... 🍞🧀) but I’m ✨SUPER excited✨ to finally be using these reusable plastic bags from @fullcirclehomellc. they’re super durable, leak proof (even though I currently only have a block of cheese and leftover bacon slices in them 🥓🥓🥓) and can even be thrown in the dishwasher. I’ve never used reusable “ziplocs” before so I’m super giddy about these. saves me from going through flimsy plastic baggies and cling wrap! 🙌🏼🌱 #everystepcounts
#zerowaste tip: Use the rind of citrus fruits for added flavor. I use a grapefruit, orange, and their rinds (chopped finely) into my homemade cranberry relish. Thanks to my mom for the delicious recipe and the tip of cutting rind versus grating. #thanksgiving#savethefood#consciousconsumer#reuse
Start a scrap bowl now for free vegetable stock - keep odds and ends of carrots, mushrooms, onions, celery, and fresh herbs. Boil whatever you have in water for 20-25 minutes. Strain and season however you like it with salt, pepper and lemon juice. #crushingit#savethefood#thanksgivingftw
