‼️‼️ Reposting my own post from July because sadly we have to fight for healthcare once again. 🙄😡💔 As I prepare for a total knee replacement surgery next week, and a loved one goes in for surgery tomorrow, and many friends are either pregnant or new moms, I am reminded of how crucial healthcare is. If the CRUEL #GrahamCassidy Bill goes through, those of us with pre-existing medical conditions will no longer have the protections that we depend upon. Essential health benefits will be stripped away.
It will be up to the states to decide whether or not those of us who are sick even can get health insurance coverage or whether or not we have to pay more for it due to illnesses that are no fault of our own. The premiums for rheumatoid arthritis alone could skyrocket 652%. That is not a typo. We really need to kill this bill. It is perhaps the worst iteration yet. At this point this should not be about partisan politics, but should be about human beings, human life, health and wellness for all citizens and not just those who are blessed enough to be healthy and/or extremely rich.
These photos may make some of you uncomfortable, but I don't care. It's my life. Health and healthcare are too important. This is the reality that I and many others face day to day, and year to year. Coverage matters. Protections for people with chronic illnesses matter. #SaveHealthcare #NoRepeal #SaveACA #CoverageMatters #SaveMyCare #HealthcareMatters #NoGrahamCassidy #NoACArepeal 🚨 PLEASE CALL 202-224-3121 or use @resistbot to save healthcare.
