However, this murky water happens when sediment is kicked up from the bottom which used to be held down by seagrass.
Florida Bay doesn’t get enough fresh water because of a broken system, parts of the bay get hyper saline, the grass dies, wind kicks up the sediment, the rest of the grass doesn’t get enough sunlight, it dies, nutrients release into the water, algae blooms, sucks all the oxygen out of the water, and kills the fish.
