This year I challenged myself to start trail running but really had only been dipping my toes in by running a little on my hikes. But yesterday I went out with my @inov_8 trail shoes and @nathansportsinc pack and took to run the trails for real. It was chilly and cloudy but perfectly quiet and beautiful. The views into the mountains and desert were spectacular. I only saw four other people on the trails so it felt like I had the wilderness to myself. I did 11+ miles of true trail running on the Big Laguna trail and PCT which included a climb to Monument Peak and Foster Point....and then added on an extra 4 miles of hiking because I also wanted to get up to Garnet Peak. I may have stubbed the same toe three times (and feel it today) but it was definitely a great first outing of trail running. I am hooked already. 🏃🏻♀️⛰ #wwhchallenge
Double digit miles cruising the final sections of the San Diego 100 Mile course (out and back) with my love @runnylegs. Beautiful combination of warming sunshine and brisk, cooling winds made for perfect afternoon conditions. Absolutely love these trails!
After the season’s only significant rain event, we have had weeks of sunny, almost too warm weather here in San Diego. It’s given us some great riding days; however, I wish it would rain a bit more before we miss our window...Photo was taken somewhere in the tunnels of Bonita. #eternalsummer#winter? #shredportal#bike#sandiegotrails
