6. Michael Olowokandi: He was drafted first overall in 1998, which was a terrible choice by the Clippers organization. (Almost as bad as their decision to move to LA). The Kandi Man didn't start playing basketball until he was 18 years old! He only cracked 45% shooting in one of his 10 seasons, and the only thing he did alright was become a decent shot blocker, but never really translated into a good rim/ paint protector. Just to rub the salt in the Clippers wound, he was also drafted before Dirk, Pierce, Carter, and even solid NBA players Bibby and Jamison who delivered early in their careers.
5. Sam Bowie: At this point, thank god he wasn't drafted first. Sam Bowie was a promising 7'3 big man, but never lived up to his expectations due to a major leg injury. He was showing some signs of progression , yet was still underperforming in his first 3 injury riddled seasons, then he got severely injured, missed just about 2 seasons, came back, and solidified himself as one of the biggest busts ever. The main reason he's considered a bust though?? He was drafted before John Stockton, Charles Barkley, and Michael Jordan. Stop drafting Big men Portland!
