From the Catalan countryside, to the mountain of Montserrat, to Gaudi’s gargantuan Sagrada Familia, you’re going to need more than just one day to explore Barcelona. Add a City Stay to your cruise, and spend 3 days and nights basking in Catalonia’s capital city before you sail. Link in bio.

La ciudad de Gaudí... The #sagradafamilia’s construction first began in 1882, and #antonigaudí became the chief architect in 1883. When Gaudí died in 1926, the project was less than a quarter completed. It is still unfinished 135 years later, making it one of the world’s only major churches to currently be under construction. Despite this, it is still one of Spain’s most visited landmarks, and became a #unescoworldheritagesite in 2005. There’s a reason people call Barcelona “the city by Gaudí,” as his unique architectural creations decorate so much of the cities landscape. ~ #gaudiarchitecture
In Barcelona, you may want to set aside a whole hour or two visiting the Basilica of the Sagrada Família, the large unfinished Catholic church that was built by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi. He died before he could complete it; it's going to finally be completed in 2026, funded by money from ticket sales.
