I experienced travelling for 17 hours on a road trip from Cavite to reach this place in Mountain Province called Sagada. Once a village and now a municipality, Sagada is home of beautiful caves, serene scenic mountains, amazing waterfalls, magnificent rice terraces but most of all, the famous hanging coffins which it is known for. It is also famous for many intense activities like exploring caves, spelunking, trekking and nature hikes that will really test your endurance and tolerance to fatigue, pain and weariness. No wonder, there is the famed "I survive Sagada" shout from all of its visitors after doing all the activities in Sagada which by the I way l shouted too after conquering the hike underworld to Sumaguing Cave and rigourous hike to Bomod-ok Falls. But my most favorite activity of all was sunrise viewing at Kiltepan view point - it was one of the best moment of the day in Sagada. Mountain Province is a landlocked province in the Cordillera Administrative Region in Luzon. Its capital is Bontoc. The province was named so for being in the Cordillera central mountain range found in the upper realms of Luzon island.
Mountain Province is the 14th province of the Philippines that I roamed on. See how I survive my adventures in Sagada, Mountain Province by clicking or following #sagadastairwaytomountainprovince.
