Food for your soul; Art for your heart:
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,"
a heavy object attached to a rope or chain and used to moor a vessel to the sea bottom. Whereas the ship’s anchor goes down to the ocean bed, the Christian’s anchor goes up into the true, Heavenly sanctuary, where he is moored to God himself.
As much as I like paddling out unto the ocean I am fearful of what’s under the water, not being a good swimmer and a child of the Jaws movie growing up didn’t help either. But early this morning as I was reading my devotion this scripture spoke a little deeper to me, I wanted to see what the inner sanctuary was about so this is what I found. Although I wouldn’t want to be anchored to anything else other than God himself. .
I was inspired to created this Charming anchor bracelet as a reminder that when we are anchored to God, no storm can separate us. Thank you Jesus!
