Try working out with someone different... it’s an easy way to experiment with different exercises/routines. It’s about confusing the muscle, not conditioning it to the same thing.

Post Workout nutrition. This is the only time when supplementation is more beneficial than whole food. A whole food meal takes 2-4 hours at least to break down. This is gonna do the job in about 30 minutes.
You want something fast acting to bounce you into recovery as quick as possible.

My go to is a whey protein isolate and a pure dexanhydrous glucose.

This stack is going to restore muscle glycogen(energy) first with the glucose(simple carbs). Create an insulin spike. That way your muscles can uptake your isolate protein way for rapidly and effectively and not waste it.

In case anyone else needed to hear this! 🙌🏻 I have been doing things in my workouts I never thought my body could do! But @ashnordman is constantly pushing me, telling me I can do it, teaching me so many things and constantly telling me the things I’m improving on! For anyone that’s been following me for awhile you know I never used to push myself out of my comfort bubble, but I do with every workout with her(I may give some very unsure looks 😂🙈) but quotes like these run through my head every day when I’m doing something, when I want to give up, when I think I can’t do something. I think “you are improving every day” “you are getting stronger” “you are capable of anything you set your mind to”. So I signed up for the #8weektransphormationchallenge and I’m coming for the 50k because I refuse to have another “day 1” again. I refuse to spend anymore time crying about my body. I refuse to drill self hate and doubt in my head. I refuse to live one more day not pushing myself towards the change and goals I have! So here are my last “day 1” pictures. I can’t wait to share more progress pictures at the end of these weeks to come! Because I have a maid of honor dress to fit in and look bomb as hell in September. Had a little impromptu photo shoot last night with Nick when we left Hollywood. 😝

Here’s the truth...

Sometimes you THINK you’re healthy, but in fact you have slipped down the rabbit hole.

On the left I was lifting my ass off and being incredibly consistent while “bulking” but zero cardio, not monitoring total calories, not monitoring food sources or eating remotely clean/healthy and I thought it was all good... I had gotten away with it when I was younger and still always had abs. But my how things change...

The right is about a year later. I’m no hippie but I try and get my calories from quality sources, I do cardio several times a week, I supplement with the things I don’t get naturally through my diet, and I probably lift less often and for less time.

Get your health in order. Pretend for 2 seconds you care about your body like you care about the things you value in life. You go around once. I refuse to be 50 with a bad heart and knee replacements from being overweight and too out of shape to play with my unborn children! If you have questions let me know!!

Brutal sweat session today. I tend to not sweat a whole lot during resistance training and let’s be honest, it’s a great sense of accomplishment when you leave the gym with your shirt soaking wet.
