⏩This gallery is called Raphael Loggias and it is a copy of the Gallery in the Papal Palace in Vatican. There in Italy the gallery is designed by Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance period Raphael Santi. His work is admired for its clarity of form and ease of composition. The idea of recreating Raphael Loggias here in Russia belonged to Catherine the Great. Once she was looking through the album with sketches from Vatican and liked the original Raphael Loggias. The group of Russian masters was sent to Rome and there they made the canvases - copies of frescos. ⏩So now on the walls of the gallery you can see 52 scenes from Old and New Testaments and a great amount of garlands, masks, birds, animals, mythological creatures. Thirteen arches run away into the distance, between them are mirrors and windows through which the light comes. ⏩This copy of Raphael Loggias is located between 2 buildings of Hermitage museum (it connects the Big Hermitage and a New Hermitage).

.

After the revolution, already captive in the Alexander Palace with hopes to leave the country low, the family wished to be transported to Livadia - their happy place. That wish was never granted and over the years the once lavish residence crippled and turned into a seocond-rate spa.

Hello my insta-friends ☺️✌️😘

👧My daughter graduated from the 3rd form of the general education school, the next year is the last year in elementary school, at the end of the year the children will take exams, which I recently wrote about, but today I want to tell you about other interesting fact. ⠀
☀️Every summer, starting from the 1st grade, children should read certain books during the summer holidays. It is certain, not what kids want. Parents, at the last parental meeting in the year, are given a list of literature (see our list in photo 2), which the children should read over the summer. The most interesting thing is that these children learn the same works during the next academic year, that is, small tales can be read directly before the lesson.

🔙 There was a tradition to read certain books in the summer back in Soviet times, when I was at school - we were also given a list of literature that was compulsory for reading, but personally I was always against it.🙁 It seems to me that a child should have the right to choose a work, and not just one book that must be read. And sometimes the stories that children ask to read are often difficult to understand at their age, and in some books too old words are used that modern children do not know🤦. The only salvation from this nightmare for me have become audiobooks.

🚩 And what about the situation in your country? What do you think about this?🚩

Paul I is best known for 2 things: being Catherine's only legitimate son and being the founder of the Pauline laws. The Pauline laws were split in 2 parts, one concerning the rights of succession and the second part concerning marriages and titles. While there were a few changes made by Alexander I, Alexander II and Nicholas II there was one part that never was changed, Romanov women not being able to succeed as Empress. This was a clear attack on Paul's mother who he always had a tense relationship with and wasn't a big problem as boys were very common for Romanovs...or at least at first. This part of the Pauline Laws is debated as one of the main reasons the Romanovs fell specifically with the case of Nicholas and Alexandra with their struggle with producing a boy yet having 4 girls.
Check out the tagged to see my boys and go check them out!
