Check out my onion flower in the rain. Its one that started sprouting in the drawer in the kitchen so I decided to plant it and see what it did. The bit above the ground seems to be going well. I hope the bit under the ground is busy duplicating onions so I end up with more than I started with. I dont ever recall harvesting a "sprouted in the cuboard" onion before so we shall see what happens when I do! . .
Today's project: more shelter for the goats. We have rain predicted for next weekend. Dragged the former pig house over then used t-posts, metal supports, and racks to extend and fortify. As I made a partial partition between two stalls, I thought about Tamsin Cooper's story in the Nov/Dec Goat Journal where she said goats like their personal space but don't want to be too closed in.
Imagine a garden path lined with these beautiful trees....
Such amazing colours!!
Before the sun got too hot I went out and took a few photos of the Frangipani’s growing around this area in the Pilbara...#devinefrangipani
Farm work done for the day, now off to town for a family lunch 🤗🍝🍷
Today’s photo challenge from #thankfulhomesteader is nature - well nature was rough today for us! We don’t normally get ice storms but we had one today - it’s foggy and drizzly out and everything has a layer of ice! ❄️❄️It’s beautiful to watch it all from our cozy house but no fun if you have to be out in it! 🌬🌨 #clothesline#homesteadinglife#ruralliving
