Last week was a real mixed bag running wise, it literally had highs and lows and I'm not talking about terrain! I posted on Friday about having a bad run unfortunately for me once the bad voice starts in my head the negative thoughts come and it takes a while to turn things around. I did Parkrun on Saturday I did a good time but in my head it wasn't good enough! Ridiculous right?! I know every run can't be a PB. My mood on Saturday was pretty low but after a good talking to by my long suffering and amazing husband I started to feel more positive. After so many years of being together he knows how to kick start the rational part of my brain again and help to blast away the negativity. So Sunday was a new day and time for my long run. I woke with new positivity and decided today's run was about enjoying running not speed or distance. Needless to say I smashed out 9 miles and I could have gone further. Another week's mileage banked, but more than that I'm learning so much about myself. Trying not to compare my self to others and when a bad run happens it's not the end of the world, and a good one is just around the corner! Stay positive people and happy hump day. #runningblogger#runningblog#runningcommunity#runningmum#runningmom#run#runningismytherapy#runhappy#running#runnersofinstagram#womansrunningcommunity#londonrunners#mumswhorun#runner#runnergirl#thisgirlruns#thisgirlcan#ukrunchat#thisgirlcan#humpday#staypositive
Zwei Tage nichts tun (außer Arbeiten und Shoppen). Zwei Tage viel Schlafen. Zwei Tage viel Essen.
Just about on pace for my half marathon plan. Got absolutely drenched. I was proper moody going round. All the usual grumpy thoughts when running in the rain, why am I doing this? My clothes are stuck to me, everyone will be laughing at my mummy tummy. How slow I am up a hill? Proper self loathing bullshit. Had to really fight it today....
Putting in the speed work now, so I can run faster in races (and life)! Thanks @ryan.rides for making it home early so I could sneak in this run (during Mila's bath time). Efforts consisted of 10 x 200m sprints plus a 5 min warm up and cool down. Winning!!
British summer at its best! Rain rain and more rain. Intervals are pretty fun in the rain though with the constant change in pace. Pretty chuffed with a 3.59 1km buggy time trial after the interval set too... yes it was slightly downhill pretty much the whole km but I'm still going to take it!! 😆 Picture is pre run nobody needs to see how much of a drowned rat I was after.
