Some workouts suck. Tonight was too hot and way too humid. Maybe the greatest volume of sweat in my life. No joke, by the end, I felt like I just got out of the most unrefreshing pool in existence. I wanted to stop at mile 12 which would have been physically fine, but I can't stop just because I'm uncomfortable. That's a terrible path to get my brain on. So I finished it by running past my car to get a couple more. And it was fine. A little heat training, a little brain training, and still got the volume in for the day in both sweat and miles. It may have felt awful, but getting things done when my body feels crappy and my brain feels sluggish is about the best kind of training I can put myself through. So screw off, Monday. I beat you.
