Running/training funks are always temporary! I had a lot going on last week, and my key workouts reflected it. 😔👎🏼 It was frustrating, but I knew I couldn’t allow myself to get discouraged about the progress I’ve made over the last several weeks of training. 🙅🏼 This morning I had mile repeats on my schedule, which is the perfect workout to come back to after a tough week if you think about it! Those 400 recoveries are everything!!! 🙌🏼 You can do anything for just ONE mile at a time, right!? I ended up finishing 4 x 1 mile with splits of 6:50, 6:45, 6:44, 6:46. You guys, on June 15 my splits for this same exact workout were 7:00, 7:03, 7:02, 7:01. This was just the reminder I needed to trust the process! Hace un año estrenaba estos bebés para mi carrera el 31 de julio, mi primer carrera oficial de 15 km. Llevaba solamente 7 meses comenzando a correr, recuerdo que cada kilómetro era una satisfacción. Ahora ya por cumplí un año participando en carreras puedo decir que me ha ido excelente! 3 medios maratones, 2 carreras de 10 km y una de 15 km.
Con muchos sacrificios he conseguido mis metas y vamos por más!

What do we do in hotel rooms? We drain 😂 3.15 miles with 3 min hill intervals thrown in. That was about all my stomach could take after my macaroni feasting at our picnic lunch today. The best part though was when one of the Israeli men from my conference came into the gym and asked if I was a professional runner 😁 it's the little things that make you smile! •

Today was rough and painful but I'm totally grateful for these hard days cause they push me to become a better athlete in how i handle them. I'm still not perfect and my attitude and emotions still get the best of me when I don't perform at my expectations but the more I'm aware of it the more I can work on changing it. This will always be my greatest challenge, the weights and moves are the easy things to train, it's my mind, ego and attitude that will always be the thing I will have to train the hardest at💪🏋️‍♀️🤘🦄
