A little action video from this past Saturday's Battle of the Bands 5k. Sprinting to the finish! I felt so much better in this race than my last 5k!Somehow I had a 5:23 pace kick left in me for that last .16!! With only 18 days till Chicago, honestly that's all I can think about. This is my last hard week. Then I go into my taper mode. I feel like I'm just now getting back in shape from the time I had off for my hamstring and vertigo ! If only I had a few more weeks to get faster. Lol! 😭

Здоровых, спортивных и в полном расцвете сил мужчин можно встретить на забеге! Ожидаемо или нет? Многообразие М стало понятно мне, когда 21 мая я не смогла поехать на полумарафон в Нижнем, так как работала на открытии базы. Утром мой путь лежал через фрунзенскую набережную, где как раз пролегал маршрут Московского полумарафона и я решила попробовать побыть "по ту сторону"! 😜
Пошла вдоль набережной, поставила руку и кричала, за 5 минут практически ни одного мужчины не пробежало мимо 😱♥️♥️♥️, в том числе дала 5 мужу знакомой... 🤣завершающим этапом, стал мужчина, который подбежал и расцеловал меня... в щеки 😂👌🏼 .
В общем быть болельщиком - это уникальный опыт, и он свой у каждого, если ты не бежишь и хочешь поддержать меня или @runningirls , стань частью нашей группы поддержки! Oh how much I truly love this transformation as both photos are so special to me. I love seeing how my son and I have grown together through my fitness journey. He has been with me every step of the way and to me that's such a special bond we share. It's amazing what the human body can do and I am very fortunate how strong my body has been for me. In fact, I have never really given it a break as I have been constantly on the go since he was born. I'm the type of person that just can't sit around, I have to be moving. For those who have asked, I only run and I honestly cannot remember the last time I went to the gym or even lifted weights. Let's face it, my son is my daily weightlifting hah Running has most definitely served me well and after marathon training I really look forward to taking a break and enjoying the holidays. I do eat clean most of the time but I never restrict myself from sweets and alcohol; I have found a balance that works good for me. You gotta live life, right? Being a FIT MOM has been the best thing yet and I hope I can be an example for it and inspire many. I love my running community as well as all the amazing Mommas I have met along the way. I appreciate all the love, support, encouragement and motivation you all have given me. Postpartum is hard work but I can tell you I am proud for where I stand💪🏼

Today was really GOOD! It was so good that I thought it was too good to be true. I kept waiting for pain with each stride but it didn't come. 🙏 My left groin (torn labrum side) is tight but that is the least of my worries since I know that will be gone by tomorrow. This run is my 5th run since my PRP injection and I'm already at 12 miles for September. This sounds like absolutely nothing to most people, but my August mileage was 4. So this is already a major improvement. 😃😃😃😃😃 I just really hope it's up from here! #thankful #grateful

Had a lot of different things jumbling around in my mind at first; then tossed it all out and started focusing on form and foot strike... which was way less frustrating and much more meditative. 💚 These cooler temps are GLORIOUS. It may be too soon to tell, but this round of HR training seems to be going much better. While my HR stayed much lower, my body was able to go much faster, now that we have these cooler temps. This of course is always the goal, but after this run my body was tired and my heart felt great and relaxed. Progress. The cooler weather will take some adjusting, but I'm stoked for this racing season. ✨

Garmin wearers: does anyone know what I should do about this burn from my Forerunner 935? Is the watch defective or is my skin too sensitive to wear it? -

<WEEK 7 UPDATE>

GUYS I AM ON THE ELLIPTICAL.
IT WAS ONLY 10 MINUTES AND NO INCLINE BUT I ALMOST BROKE A SWEAT 😰.
(And yes I am shouting this from the rooftops.) Hip still is feeling good but a bit sore from some new #theraband work my PT gave me this week.
