Friday early morning - 12x 1:30/rest 1:00 at 42 s/m. Intentional overload on the stroke, and a step up in rate and pace from last week. These felt strong and controlled today.

SHOW ME YOUR FORCE CURVE! In warm-ups I often ski (or row) with the force curve displayed for some real time technical feedback. What is ideal on the SkiErg? I’m convinced a curve that is quick to rise with a tall peak, and a long smooth tail out the back is what to look for. Do you have peaks and valleys throughout? Are you late to rise? Is it bumpy?
I am a big believer in using a shorter stroke with a higher stroke rate. Crack the whip! Short and sharp with the drive initiated by the trunk. Over-reaching, excess squatting, and over-pulling are a recipe for inefficiency. Just because you can get away with it on really short sprints and still post decent scores doesn’t make it optimal, and doesn’t necessarily make it better in terms of output either. Maybe you could go faster or further without an increase in fatigue!

‘Bye bye’ as i faintly whispered to my wobbly, jelly and barely-stand-up legs after the wod today.
I thought i was having a weightlifting 🏋️‍♀️ class when i walked in to the box this noon because cardio class doesn’t start until 5 pm but apparently life has decided to do a little prank on me, as usual. How am i not surprised 😑.
Today wod is all about legs. Sprint in 4 stations : 1000 m row 🚣‍♀️, 50 cals on airdyne bike 🚴‍♂️, 500 m row and 25 cals on airdyne bike with 3 mins rest in between. I should’ve had Carrie Underwood’s legs by now 🤦🏼‍♀️.
As if it’s not torturing enough for my legs, to top it all off, the cherry on the cake 🎂 is Annie (swipe left to see the full program). A myriad of double unders and sit ups. To make my life even miserable, i cannot do unbroken double under 😂. My kind of double under is single-double-single-double. So it’s not 50-40-30-20-10 DU, it’s 50DU-50S-40DU-40S instead. I was thinking to check myself in to the nearest ER after the class lho tadi ndra @andriandra, hahaha..
