A little clap, cheer, smile and high five for yourself occasionally boosts your confidence and reminds you why you do what you do. ☺👍✋👏☺👍✋👏☺👍✋👏☺👍✋👏
Yesterday I was at the Birthlight Conference in Cambridge, which was an amazing mix of professionals who work in the fields of health, birth and healing. ☺👍✋👏☺👍✋👏☺👍✋👏☺👍✋👏
Generally everyone was super supportive of what I'm doing and the goals I'm trying to achieve, but one person was quite challenging. After my conversation with them I was a bit deflated quite challenged. They objected to me using the title "doula" when I do so many other things as well. The thing is I am a doula to some of my clients, but not to others, and yes I do have many strings to my bow, but I'm pretty sure I can call myself a doula after doing the training, supporting countless postnatal families and attending births. ☺👍✋👏☺👍✋👏☺👍✋👏☺👍✋👏
Celebrating my achievements today is a way of recentering myself on my goals, dispelling that self doubt that whispers in my ear occasionally and focusing on moving forward.
Which successes of your own are you celebrating today? I'd love to share them with you and help you celebrate.
