Yum! 😍 Entertain your family and friends with this easy fancy dinner recipe! 🍽🍾
Slow-Cooker Garlic Rosemary Roast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves , minced
- 3 lb chuck roast
- 1.5 lb baby gold potatoes
- 1 lb green beans
- ½ lb pearl onions
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1.5 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp dried rosemary
1. Add oil to cast iron skillet, season roast with salt, pepper, and rosemary brown in pan.
2. In slow cooker pour 1 tbs olive oil, add garlic cloves, and cover bottom with whole roast
3. Place pearl onions on top of roast, and potatoes on top of onions. Pour beef broth.
4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
5. Last 15 minutes add green beans.

Tonight I made #Pasta with fresh #Rosemary from the herb garden, Olive Oil, Eggplant, Garlic, Parmesan, Milk with Salt n Pepper. Kind of an Alfredo thing. I made it up because it's just what I had at home but it was Yummy! @andymusic1 you missed out! 😜

It’s a sad state of affairs on multiple fronts, the first of which surrounds the accuracy of ADHD diagnoses. Misdiagnosis is common, which means many children may be taking medications unnecessarily. The other glaring issue is the dangers of ADHD drugs, which are immense.

Kids taking these powerful drugs may suffer from side effects ranging from sleep problems and loss of appetite to seizures and increased heart rate, which is why alternative treatment options are urgently needed. Fortunately, one age-old option, essential oils, has shown promise in helping to relieve the symptoms of ADHD.

Research by the late Dr. Terry S. Friedmann, a physician who believed in treating the body, mind and spirit as one, showed that vetiver oil (vetiver is a type of Indian grass) was beneficial for children with #ADHD.

When the children inhaled the oil three times a day for 30 days they had improved brain wave patterns and behavior and did better in school. Eighty percent of the children also improved when using cedarwood oil similarly.

#Cedarwood essential oil was chosen for the study because it has a high concentration of sesquiterpenes (they make up 50 percent of its constituents), which improve oxygenation of brain cells.

#Vetiver is known to calm and balance the nervous system while stimulating the circulatory system, according to Friedmann. He explained:
“When the essential oil is inhaled, the micro droplets are carried to the limbic system of the brain, which is that portion that is the processing center for reason, emotion and smell, and to the hypothalamus, which is the hormone command center.
The essential micro droplets are also carried to the lungs where they enter the circulatory system.” Beyond vetiver and cedarwood, #rosemaryessentialoil has also shown promise for increasing cognitive performance. When study participants completed tasks in a cubicle diffused with the aroma of rosemary essential oil, their performance improved in both speed and accuracy. #uglybynature

Rosemary-Dijon Grilled Steak Salad from VB22 & VB23
With grilled steak, crunchy spinach leaves, and a delectably fragrant and creamy Dijon-Rosemary dressing, this summer salad is sure to wow. Serving it with crumbled blue cheese on top and grilled baguette slices on the side only make the meal even more appealing.
But the best part about this dish? The steak is marinated in a red wine mixture. That gives us the perfect excuse to crack open a bottle for cooking and drink the leftovers!
1/2 cup dry apple cider
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 pounds flank steak
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
6 cups baby spinach leaves
Dijon-Rosemary Dressing
Crumbled blue cheese, grilled baguette slices
How to Make It
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large, heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag. Add steak and seal bag, turning to coat. Refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.
Preheat grill to high (450° to 600°). Remove steak from marinade, discarding marinade. Pat steak dry with paper towels, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill, on greased grill rack, 6 minutes on each side (for medium-rare) or to desired degree of doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into thin slices.
Toss spinach with 1/4 cup Dijon-Rosemary Dressing, and divide among 4 salad plates. Place steak slices on plates, and top with crumbled blue cheese. Serve with grilled baguette slices and remaining dressing.
