On December 1,1955, Rosa Parks was arrested after refusing to give up her bus seat to a white passenger in Montgomery, Alabama. Days after her arrest, the town's African American residents collectively refused to ride the buses, beginning the year-long Montgomery Bus Boycott. The boycott only ended when the Supreme Court ruled segregation on buses was unconstitutional. America in Color features this unforgettable moment in history, and many more, tonight at 8PM.
