Root vegetable fries (baked) are one of my favourite things to make.
forget what you think about carbs. they're not synonymous with fat. or weight gain. plant based whole* carbs are your friends. starchy foods like potatoes, carrots, squash, beans, whole grains, etc, are all harmless as long as they're prepared modestly- not oily/salty. Fruits have natural sugar so they kinda fall under 'carbs' but these are also good. These all have nutrients that you need and your body breaks them down just fine. Don't drink your calories! That's a big, subtle way to exhaust your system.
Processed/refined carbs (white flour, white sugar) are what you should look out for, they can be in almost anything which is why I like being in charge and making most of what I eat. 💪🏼🌿
