Here’s for a full week! We did a lot!
Monday we went on the road. First to buy wool. We got to see how fleeces that are collected from shepherds are NOT skirted😬 and only rudimentary sorted based on the 🐑 breed and then made into big bales (260kg each 😬)
Then we went to visit one of the oldest large scale fiber mill that still operates in Romania.
We turned back and visited the traditional fiber mill that spins our #moekeyarnselena and got some yarn.
I got seriously car sick and spent half Wednesday in bed. Kid was restless, who can be sick then? So I stopped being sick and went further with dyeing yarn 😉
Friday and Saturday I added on my list of activities sorting wool. Was a lot of 💩 involved 😬 But we sorted around 500 kg 💪 Meanwhile the dyeing went on and all the reds and pinks are done and most of the yellows (also for those who chose green 😉) I have to dye only 6 kg more on Monday and I can start my indigo vat 😉
As an addition (cause I had a lot of free time of course 😂) my parents bought 3 tons of coal that needed to be broken into smaller pieces (it came in HUGE pieces 😬) and moved to a shed 50 m further 😬 I helped with that also and we have sorted around 2.5 tons already 💪😉 Oh yes, and there was a kid involved in the mix and emails and you know, sleeping 😂😜 This said, I think it was a pretty good week, don’t you think? #moekeyarns #romanianwool #viatalatara #moekeonindiegogo #madder #pinkyarn #redyarn #madder #botanicaldye
