😡😂🤪We all know by now that we need to give valuable information in order to be seen as an expert in the services we provide.
.
However, we should also try to include copy or words that strike an emotional feeling with our audience. .
WHY? The goal of creating content is to get your audience to consume it so that they can build that trust with you. .
Trust builds relationships. .
And relationships lead to sales.
.
We know that every decision that someone makes to do something is based mostly on avoiding pain or gaining pleasure.
.
So, we can use words and language that evoke the exact emotion you want your reader to feel in order for them to be more likely to consume the content…
.
(Hint: in my experience, I have had better luck connecting using copy that helps people avoid pain with content such as blog posts or lead magnets...)

Attending a networking event or show?
.
Remember, make sure to have people opt in appropriately and then think about sending them an email before the other vendors do!
.
Here’s a photo from about 2 years ago when I started doing this at bridal shows.
.
I wouldn’t even leave until I had sent every bride a customized letter that I had pre-written before I got there.
.
Cut and paste is your friend!
.
I wrote a very short email and changed out the name & wedding date and added a custom detail about the conversation we had while we were there.
.
Hint: I take notes as we are finishing our conversation so I can remember who is who!
.
Then, after I have written them a personal email, I queue up the pre-written automated email sequence to begin the next day!

How often do you email your list of leads, prospects and clients?
.
Remember, if you are only sending one email every month or two, you are likely not even getting to their inbox.
.
Email is similar to social media in that the more emails your audience opens, the better the chance you have of ending up in their inbox instead of spam or promotions!
.
👉🏻👉🏾👉🏼Pro tip: if you can get an email list member to respond directly to an email you send by hitting the “reply” button, your chances of ending up in their inbox each time is significantly greater! .
