It’s human nature to never be satisfied; to always want more; to constantly strive to be better. When we get lean, we want to be leaner. When we get big, we want to be bigger. When we get strong, we want to be stronger. I know I’m guilty of this - at times I’ll convince myself that near impossible standards are the only thing that is truly acceptable. At times, my focus tends to move away from progress & centre more towards perfection. Does that ever happen to you?
We all have our own insecurities. We all have flaws. We all believe we are inadequate at certain things & in our own ways, whether we’re ready to admit that or not. I do & you probably do too, but that doesn’t make you any less of a human or a success story.
How many times have you caught yourself saying ‘I’ll be happy/ satisfied when…’ - but the reality is you’ll be happy when you start to love yourself for who you are, what you’ve accomplished and what you will achieve. You’ll be happy when you love your journey & the process of getting better without the expectation of being happier than you are right now when you get there.
Do things because you love them, not because of what you think it will get you. Chances are doing the former is going to result in the latter anyway. #LifestyleGains #RealTalk #Facts #Truth
