Happy Dragon Boat Festival!!! It was one of my favorite holidays growing up in Taiwan. There was always an abundance of food and love. Amazing to relive the day again after 15 years, watching the dragon boat races, being in the parade, offering food to our ancestors, and eating rice dumplings with my family. #dragonboatfestival#family#ricedumplings#love

Bak Chang/ Zongzi is a traditional Chinese food made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo, reed, or other large flat leaves. They are cooked by steaming or boiling. In the Western world, they are also known as rice dumplings or sticky rice dumplings. (Source: Wikipedia). . . The very first time who presented Bak Chang to me was My Beloved Father. I still remember the smell of Bamboo leaves, rice and meat mixed together. How was too tight to be openned. Then he openned it for little me in the year of 1989/1990.
