when I dropped out of college, I dropped out for many reasons. One thing people always ask me is how could I drop out if my parents sacrificed so much for me to get an education. “How could I be so ungrateful?”But that’s the thing, in college I wasn’t learning, I wasn’t enjoying it, I was sooo freaking unhappy! I had to be selfish and make a decision, BUT I promised myself I would always keep reading + learning.
Just because I am not getting the traditional education doesn’t mean I can’t educate myself. I love it. It is at my own pace, and I am reading books I actually want to read 📚😄 I now have the time to go to conferences, networking events, and learn other skills such as (creating a YouTube channel, creating a podcast, and the #reynaempowers workshops, and starting my event services business!) 🌷 I’ve learned SO much already!
It is MY own journey, and who are you to say it will work out for me or not? Stop listening to everyone else, and listen to YOURSELF. If you really want it, then do it!
Believe me, I’m not the biggest fan of reading and it’s getting harder to find the time, but the laaaaaast thing I want to do is make excuse🙄🙄 “i don’t have the time.” We do, we just need to make it a priority.
I encourage you to go to your local library, go on amazon, and choose a good book you like. Keep feeding that beautiful brain or yours 🧠✨
