No phones, no emails, no work, just a time out from everything around us to indulge in luxury❤ Last weekend we watched TV, got massages, sipped on wine, got drunk on champagne, stuffed our faces with lobsters, prawns, chicken, fish and mutton, lazed around in the pool, slept at odd hours, didn't bother with alarms, & had the best time doing nothing👀 The luxury of doing nothing was the perfect way to bounce back super productive & super excited about life. Over the years I've learnt to set aside time for myself because living 18hr long days for months at a stretch isn't doing me any good. I used to feel so guilty taking a break when I had just started freelancing. I would forget to eat meals, I was skinny AF, I was weak, and I was SUPER stressed, which made me cranky, sad, insecure, negative and what not. Poor mental and physical health made me realise the importance of a good break and rest days. Your mind needs a break too, and we need to talk about it (I think I have a rant building up, shall direct the energy into a post sometime soon 😛) Point id, a day in bed, a staycation, a trek, camping, a holiday, take your pick, but make sure you take enough breaks to maintain your sanity. .
And remember this- a vacation to get over a vacation always works👯😋
