From @rx.mindset - Ever wonder how elite athletes become so good at what they do?
I've heard things like, "Its genetics" . . . "It's something they're taking". . . "They're just naturally talented" and on and on.
Although these things can contribute to an athlete's success, the truth is most elite athletes are successful because of a collection of habits they perform consistently, which add up to make a big difference.
The activities that often seem small or don't matter, are the ones that can add up to make the real difference. Over time, these small habits are what often separate good athletes from elite athletes.
Here are 2 mindsets that every elite athlete has... Mindset One: The small things add up and make a big difference. Whether it's skipping a meal, not having a good post-training regimen in place or not giving your body time to recover, all those "little" things start to add up and make a big difference and affect the result you get.
Mindset Two: Consistency is key. Anyone can train hard for a day, a week, a month or for three months, but elite athletes are consistent day after day, week after week, month after month and year after year. If you want to be great at something you're going to have to be consistent for the long term. There are no shortcuts to greatness!
I know those two mindsets sound obvious, but time and time again I hear athletes say they are having a tough time taking their athleticism to the next level. Time and time again I see athletes not taking care of the small things and not staying consistent with what they're doing.📸 @sarasigmunds @niketraining ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ #rxmindset#motivatedmindset#livesore#caffeineandkilos#barbellwod#niketraining#motivation#whatsrichdoing#weightlifting#brutestrength#romwod#opengo#unitedlifters#intheopen#thewodlife#oly#restday#wod#niketraining#motivation#fitness#builtbybergeron#ASSbike#noxtraining#mission6#roadtoregionals#crossfit#crossfitgames #growthmindset #fitdutchies
