Shout out to @tescofood for this crazily good Blanquette de Limoux! I honestly can't think of better #fizz at its price point. Limoux is considered the first #sparklingwine produced in France, where Benedictine monk Dom Perignon first learnt the craft before opening up a little known winery in #champagne... Local varietal Mauzac is blended with barrel fermented Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc before a second fermentation in bottle. Wonderful mineral character with green apple and ripe pear notes, cheers!
