Really interesting post from @jin_strengthandconditioning using @RepostRegramApp - I normally don't post stuff like this, but sometimes it needs to be said. I see this all over; crossfit, corporate gyms, YouTube, and many other places. Not to mention the fitness fanatics who exercise non stop. Our joints are mechanical. And like anything mechanical, there is a shelf life. So doing your 16. whatever's multiple days in a row, back to back marathon/triathlons, sparring/fighting non stop WILL undoubtedly lead to overuse injuries, hip/shoulder replacements, and all the like. That's basic knowledge to the properly educated fitness professional. I know there will be many who will argue, but those seem to be the same people who have no clue about how the human body really works. On a good note, it keeps PT's and surgeons employed! I've learned this over the years. Injuries will catch up to you. Although you may not feel it now, they WILL come! Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. I've learned more and more that a huge role as a S&C/ athletic performance coach is not to make bigger/faster/stronger, but to reduce the risk of injury and increase longevity durability.
