Snake bracelet, anyone?

Always a treat to find a gopher #snake (Pituophis catenifer) while #hiking. A highly adaptable, generalist species, the #gophersnake is found in a wide variety of habitats, from grasslands, to forests, and even deserts.

Stardust always loves to hang out, explore, and then fall asleep on my arm 😍☺️

National Reptile Awareness Day is October 21st. Every year, reptile fanatics have a day that they can celebrate and share their passion; a chance to educate others who may not know about these amazing creatures called reptiles, and the habitat loss and threat of extinction that faces so many reptile species. #nationalreptileawarenessday #reptileawarenessday #reptileawareness #national #reptile #awareness #day

It’s Reptile Awareness Day! Fun Fact: Tortoises beat man to the moon! In September 1958 tortoises were the first animal to circle the moon – beating humans by a few months. Go tortoises! 🐢

It’s always exciting to find #reptiles at @cocobolonature especially when you don’t know the species at first. This male Bridled Anole, was hanging over a bank side that we were setting camera traps on, I knew it was something new just based on the size of it. Once in the hand, I could see this amazing eye piercing back at me, the coloration around the eye lid and the eye coloration itself, was one of the most amazing colors I’d seen on an anoles eye.
