As Nigeria marks 17 years of uninterrupted democracy and two years of APC government today, The Guardian editorial for Monday, May 29th, calls for an unbiased assessment of the first half of Buhari administration.
While it concedes that the APC government "has weathered the storm of pessimism, vacillation and inertia, on its democratic journey to achieve some definable goals," the editorial notes that given the resources at the nation’s disposal, addressing all Nigeria's problems is not beyond grasp.
It, therefore, urges the government to be committed to taking the bold but painful step of restructuring the country for integral development.
