Myself of the Ronchan Project has been in hot water lately. Not having amplified sound to allow my own musical guests or a complicated TUA permit setup for our cosplay event is one thing but Liberty City Anime Con is bringing the same guests as last year is getting repetitive and I am sick and tired of it!
It's the 4th time that Reni Mimura is going to perform at the con and I don't mind having her and also used to be in love with Reni Mimura but for GODS SAKE why not allow other J-Pop musicians. I don't want Reni, Psyche Corporation, The Asterplace, 2une, Professor Shyguy, J-music ensemble etc. What about Fighting in the Streets, Lotus Verry, Tamuro Rie, Chii Sakurabi, or Kazha.
Kazha is always open to requests to perform and they usually perform in anime conventions.
Chii Sakurabi is very hard to get to and she visited NYC weeks ago. Why not request her to perform in New York City anime con. Do your research and get what the fans want.
Last year I went to Japan for Rico Yuzen in Kyoto, Lotus Verry at Meguro in Tokyo, Motion Blue Yokohama for a friend and touring with Yako & Alan Eicher. The whole trip costs me $2,500 in packages.
If I raise that much money for Japan, why not do the same to meet Chii Sakurabi in any anime convention of the East Coast in the United States which might cost me around $1,000 for convention badges, hotel stays and transportation. Yeah I am not joking because I payed $400 for 2013 MAGFest in packages.
Problem is that I can't make money with my temp agency company that pays minimum wage in my state.
