A couple of weeks ago, we walked on fire as an exercise in self-empowerment and I was reminded of the teaching, "how we do anything in life is how we do everything!" meaning how we walked the fire is how we walk through life. Did we hesitate, or did we experience trepidation; Did we gun it, or did we meander through it; Did we fear it, or did we fight our intuition and resist it; Did we not allow ourselves to feel anything during the process; Did we view it unsafe, OR did we trust our inner knowing that we could walk and not get burned?
I admit it, I have not always chosen the safest path or even the path that made the most sense. I've made mistakes, plenty of them. I sometimes jump too soon to avoid the feeling of indecision or confusion and sometimes fail to appreciate the consequences of my choices. But I've learned something very important along the way: I've learned to move out of my head in order to heed the call of my heart. I've learned that the safest path is not always the best path for me and I've also learned that the voice of fear is not always to be trusted. My personal practice right now is to slow down and receive ... receive the gifts and lessons, receive the consequences without resistance no matter how long they are overdue, and receive all the good, the love, and the light that is wanting to make its way to me. #heart not #head #feelthefearanddoitanyway #asinlife #iwalkonfire #rememberyourtruth #intuition #hesitation #trepidation #knowing #inspiredaction #walkthepath #ontheroadtofindout #walkingeachotherhome
