They say to never underestimate the power of your words. People hear your words, not just with their ears, but with their hearts, their souls, their self-confidence, their self-judgement....they HEAR them at a much deeper level than sound allows. The interesting thing is that the GOOD things we hear tend to be a whisper and retained only momentarily. The bad things we hear resonate with us for days, weeks, months....somethings I know I’ll never forget in my entire lifetime. They put nicks and scars on your heart.
They say people may not remember WHAT you said, but they’ll sure remember how WHAT you said made them feel.
I want to send a huge thank you to Ashley Lucht and @stacey.stratton for both reminding me of my goodness today. For picking me up with their words and helping me to recall my value. For reminding me who I am....calling me back to my center. You’ll never know how perfectly God coordinated your words were today.
Let us all watch our words a little more closely. Speak intentionally, not just emotionally. Choose to pick someone up rather than to squash them down further. Choose to inspire others, to give them hope, to teach them, to help them, to walk alongside them, rather than to weigh them down with your negativity (fear). Let us all use our words to spread LOVE, not our FEARS.
