I thought this Tinder profile was hilarious lol. People claim that the U.S. should be a secular society completely free of religious tradition, morals, and teachings. They support their argument with a private letter Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptists that included the popular phrase "separation of church and state." Using this letter to support a secularized society is simply taking this letter out of context, however. This is because this letter was written as a response to the Baptists who were afraid that the U.S. would have a state sponsored religion, similar to Anglicanism in England. The baptists were scared (rightly so) because they believed a state sponsored religion could take away the religious liberty of all the people. They also believed that a state sponsored religion could lead to extreme corruption, the abuse of power, and the persecution of those who do not conform. Thomas Jefferson assured that the U.S. government would stay away from organized religion in order to preserve this freedom (The 1st Amendment states that the government cannot make any law respecting an ESTABLISHMENT of religion). He never said in any way, however, that religious beliefs and teachings should be absent from society. Thomas Jefferson did NOT want a secular society or government, as he was an extremely religious man himself. In fact, he believed that all human rights are GOD GIVEN, and that it is a moral atrocity to take away those rights (All Christians believe this). This was the main idea behind the concept of the U.S. in the first place! We need Christian morality in our society in order to keep it healthy and prosperous. It is also part of our cultural heritage. A secular society will destroy our country, but that is a topic for another day. It is time to bring back religion to America!!! #trump #pence #freedom #christianity #religion #thomas #jefferson #rightwing #religous #redcalifornia #america #1st #amendment

Ramadan Kareem - May there be peace and blessings upon all of the Humanity...
========================================= Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad (PBUH) This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The month lasts 29–30 days based on the visual sightings of the crescent moon. ===================================== #ramadan #ramadan2017 #ramadankareem #islamic #blessed #month #art #design #creative #religous #peace #world #care #instagram #muslim

Day 5. No I havnt seen bvb live sadly. My mom is religious and one day she read this thing on Facebook about how they are satanic and she believes it so now I'm not even aloud to talk about them or listen or anything. So therefore she would probably not let me see them live. 😞💔😭🤓😨😩😰 #depression #religous #notsatanic #blackveilbrides #bvblive #andybiersack #andysixx #andybvb #concert
