Day 10 Journal Prompt: Release
Release… Emotional, spiritual and physical. We all need it. We cleanse and clear away those things that no longer serve us. Emotionally we let go through happiness, sadness and sometimes anger. Physically we release through tears, laughter and sometimes pain. How do you spiritually release?
When my beloved cat, Jasper, passed away I released through tears. Sobbing terrible ugly tears was my way to physically and emotionally release. Once I was able to release my sadness, I moved on to spiritual release. I burned a candle, with a carving of a cat face on it, in my himalayan salt candle holder. Salt having been known to be associated with healing and protection. His passing released his pain at the end of his life; burning that candle released my sadness so I could move forward.
Release comes in all shapes and sizes. How do you experience physical and emotional release most often? How do you release spiritually?
